Laurel's Black Bean Soup
Cook black beans in advance, or use canned if you must.
Fry up shredded veg, season with cumin coriander cayenne. Mix fried veg into beans, add a little water, cook 45-60. At the end, mash the beans with the masher, add enough water for a broth.
Serve with turnip greens, rice or corn bread, lemons, and hot sauce.
